Do you also encounter the “Hang On” or the aforementioned error on your Apple Watch? Having myself been in the same situation, I know it can be really frustrating. Bother not; it’s time to get rid of the issue by taking help of the following tricks!

How to Fix “I will tap you when I’m ready” Error on Apple Watch

Solution #1. Check Out The Internet Connection

The first thing you should try to resolve this error is to ensure that the Internet connection is strong. Siri tends to get stuck when there is the weak Internet. So, be sure your watch is connected to an active Wi-Fi or cellular data connection. If you have the access to Wi-Fi, it would be better to keep both your Apple Watch and iPhone on the same Wi-Fi network. As Siri requires Bluetooth to work, make sure to keep it turned ON. Apple recommends keeping both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi enabled on your paired iPhone for a seamless experience. To get it done, open Control Center on your iPhone and turn them on. If they are already enabled, switch them OFF/ON. If you are on the move, just ensure that your cellular connection is in top gear so that Siri can work effectively. If you get these things right, the problem should be resolved.

Solution #2. Turn Off/ON Siri both on Apple Watch and iPhone

In most cases, the above solutions can get rid of the problem. However, if the issue still persists, try turning Siri OFF/ON both on your paired iPhone and Apple Watch. Open Settings app on your Apple Watch → General → Siri → Now turn Off Hey Siri. Now, turn off the watch. To do so, press and hold the side button and then drag the Power Off slider. Now, press and hold the side button again to restart the wearable device. Once the watch has rebooted, go back to the Settings and turn on Siri. On your iPhone, open Settings app → Siri & Search → turn off the switch next to Listen for “Hey Siri”. Next, restart your device and then turn on the Siri again. Check out, if you have finally got the better of the issue. If you have, congrats! If not, there is one more solution to try.

#3. Update watchOS

Should the problem continue, it would be apt to go for the software update. Knowing that most watchOS update comes with several bug fixes, you might succeed in getting the better of the issue. To do so, open Watch app on your paired iPhone → General → Software Update and then download and install the update as usual. That’s all, folks!
